About/Contact

Rhinohead Productions is the creative collective of artist William F. Wilson II. Information regarding artmaking practice, creative consultancy, curatorial work, event production, exhibitions and projects are periodically featured on this site.

William is a celebrated interdisciplinary artist, curator, arts administrator, and arts educator with over 30 years of professional experience working with art organizations, exhibitions, and events. He currently operates from the Northern California Central Valley – close to the Bay Area and Sacramento – in local, regional, national and international project capacities.

“Rhinohead Productions” is a curious moniker that references William’s ongoing interests in the rhinoceros research and preservation movements. In response, he has created works and projects as educative tools and awareness events, in support of the rhinoceros conservation community. The banner artwork across this site features a photograph of Spike – a male black (diceros bicornis) rhinoceros originally kept as part of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo highly successful breeding program (under the direction of Mammal Curator Alan Sironen) of the 1990’s.

Continuing projects include the de(vice), Revenge & Tornados Series bodies of work, presenting both investigations and mythologies of our history on the planet Earth as a failed species.
